1. Anchored at its extremities, the form represents the collected forces that conjoin the four tilted arches. Its allows for the conception of a tangible element that can be derived from its presence.
2. The corners of the form are sliced flush along the tilt of the arches, freeing the elliptical openings to filter light into the space.
3. The upper surface of the form is extruded, giving it thickness and material presence. Everything below the line where the form and the walls meet is discarded.
4. Its origins rooted in the fundamental make-up of the volume, the new object flows between the arches as a natural extension of the space, touching at its extremes the rise and tilt of the walls. The new form’s similarity to a dome is therefore not solely visual but mainly functional, expressive of the intrinsic qualities of the space.
